Another long month of nothing

Pictures once more are on the skinny side. (not saying WE are on the skinny side . . .) but I've scrounged up as many as I could. It has been a rough month. I knew it would be hard to go back to school full time but it has been harder than I thought. I can't wait to be able to "lounge around" all day with my baby again. :)Juliet is incredible! She is an advanced crawler now, and can pull herself up on anything -- even a bare wall. This has come with a few bumps and bruises. We started "disciplining" her so she understands where she can stand and what she can touch and what she can not touch. Whenever she gets near the DVD player or the speakers we say "Juliet, don't touch that." At first she would just look at us confused and then go on ahead with her intentions. Then the taboo buzzer came out. She hates it!! If she disobeys we buzz her and she cries. It only takes her a few touches to realize which objects make the bad noise come. She has gotten to the point where when we say, "Juliet, don't touch that." or "Juliet get down." she knows that if she continues that dreaded buzzer will go off. It is funny to watch her because she really really wants to touch something but really
really doesn't want the buzzer to go off. So sometimes she just sits down to cry in frustration when we tell her not to do something. We are always there to console and comfort her though. She is learning fast. She is a doll and we love her!

Happy mother's day!!

I know we are a day late in posting for mother's day but I still wanted to thank all of you beautiful women who made this photo shoot possible. :) Enjoy!!!
Brett is out of town this week so no pictures of him -- also he refuses to let me take photos of him until his diet kicks in. :P

We had a nice enough mothers day. Brett made me a delicious breakfast and sprinkled the table with rose petals (which is what inspired me to do a photo shoot. :) He also has been trying all month to get me a new diaper bag, but couldn't find one he thought I'd like. So my mother's day present was an IOU one diaper bag. I'm sick of my current one because it is just one huge black hole -- I can't ever find what I need in it. It was free from the hospital, so as far as free things go, it was great! But Brett had to leave for yellowstone before church even got out, so my mother's day was spent as a mom alone with her baby. I guess that's fitting -- I would have loved to be pampered the whole day but I guess this is an accurate glimpse of my future.

School is going well. I am always tired, which is to be expected, and I'm also working as a spanish tutor which has helped our finances - I just miss my sweet angel while I am gone. Our nanny, Rachel, is amazing! We love her and love having her with us. She has been a lifesaver! I never would have been able to graduate without her. And I am going to graduate!! I just got my major changed and everything looks like it is good to go!!
Brett is in yellowstone this week. It stinks. But he is having a grand ol' time with his personal hotel room and jacuzzi. He should have taken me with him.
Juliet pulled herself to standing on the couch today. She is unstoppable. Her favorite pastime is pulling things off of the coffee table, her current foe. She can't figure out that crawling under it and then sitting up results in a bonked head. She is a super cutie and I can't get enough of her.

Well, that's about it in the life of the Brett Foutz family. We love you all and can't wait till we see you again.
